๐ก How It Works
๐ฉ Bolt Circle
Holes are evenly distributed around the circle. Start angle (0ยฐ = positive X axis) rotates the pattern.
๐ Use Cases
Drilling flange hole patterns, milling circular pockets, layout coordinates for manual machining.

๐ Understanding NPT Threads
Essential knowledge for proper pipe thread applications
๐ What are NPT Threads?
NPT (National Pipe Thread) is the American standard for tapered threads used on pipes and fittings. The taper creates a seal when male and female threads are tightened together.
- Taper rate: 1/16 per inch (3/4 inch per foot)
- Thread angle: 60ยฐ between sides
- Angle between taper and center axis: 1ยฐ 47' 24" (1.7899ยฐ)
๐ Key Dimensions Explained

๐ก How It Works
๐ฏ Find Pins Mode
Enter a bore diameter to get three recommended pin sizes with the specified spread percentage. The pins will be positioned optimally for accurate measurement.
๐ Pin Positioning
The three pins are positioned at 120-degree intervals around the bore circumference for optimal measurement accuracy.
โ๏ธ Pin Size Spread
Choose the percentage variation between pin sizes. 10% is standard for most applications, while 5% provides higher precision.
๐ Imperial Units
All calculations are performed in inches with selectable decimal precision for machinist accuracy.
